Crane Construction

Since 1993 another business field of Roßlauer Schiffswerft is crane construction. Thereby ship cranes, industrial cranes and crane accessories are distinguished. In the past, projects in the field of ship cranes, industrial cranes and crane accessories were realized for customers. We as a production site are at your disposal for your projects.

Ship cranes

RSW supplies crane housings and crane booms for container cranes, service cranes, multi-purpose cranes and heavy duty cranes with lifting capacities from 20 t to 1000 t in large quantities. The components can be delivered to the customer completely hydraulically and electrically equipped or, on request, only as a steel component. The jibs and housings can reach unit weights of up to 60 t.

Industrial cranes

RSW manufactures industrial cranes to customer specifications for a wide variety of applications. Thus, 39 large crane systems were delivered to customers in the years 2004 to 2013. In 2011 alone, 9 cranes and the corresponding trolley frames with a total weight of more than 1,000 t left the halls of RSW for one customer. This one order could be realized in only half a year construction time.

All cranes are mechanically processed and completely assembled in the factory before delivery. When assembled, the largest crane systems covered an area of up to 1,000 m². A trolley frame alone can reach the size of a smaller single-family house.

The fully machined components are then transported to their destination by truck barge or pontoon.

Crane accessories

RSW manufactures the appropriate equipment for the cranes such as cross beams, swing arms, lower and upper blocks, etc. in its mechanical engineering department.
